Types of Evaluations
Evaluation is the structured approach towards assessing the design, implementation, improvement or outcomes of any program or service with the help of different methods and tools.
As per the timeline/stages of any project, there are 3 types of evaluation:
- Formative Evaluation/Baseline: initial assessment in order to develop appropriate,
effective programs - Process Evaluation/ midline/ M&E: same as program monitoring
- Summative or Impact Evaluation/End line assessment examines specific program outcomes and accomplishments.
Based on the type of programme, following evaluation can be conducted-
- Impact evaluation
- Outcome evaluation
